SUPERB ANTIQUE FRENCH PAINTED BOOKCASE - c1900

Wonderful French antique Louis style bookcase c1900 painted in Farrow and Ball
'French Grey' lightly distressed and given a soft wax finish. With a carved
removable pediment to the top with finials at each side. The glazed doors have
decoratively carved panels to the base. The interior consists of adjustable shelves.
This item has been fully treated with a woodworm preventative as a matter of course.
In excellent strong and sturdy condition with some minor knocks and bumps
in keeping with its age.

This is a stylish and useful piece of French furniture and could be used either as a
bookcase or an armoire to hold linen or towels in a bathroom.
